The short answer: Probate is filed with the Probate Department on the first floor of the El Centro courthouse, 939 West Main Street. E-filing is mandatory for represented parties and covers initial and later probate filings; self-represented parties are exempt. The weekly probate calendar is Friday at 8:30 a.m. The filer—not the court—selects the hearing date from available dates and puts it on every notice.

How do you file and select a hearing?
