The short answer: Use the official Merced Probate Notes page, choose the correct courtroom and hearing date, and find your case number in that calendar. The current calendar instructions say notes typically post five days before hearing and technical-defect corrections should be filed at least two court days before it. Recheck the notes through the hearing morning and follow the case’s appearance directions.

E-filing and original-will handling

Represented parties must use an approved EFSP. E-filings submitted before midnight are generally deemed filed that court day once accepted, but a paper requiring same-day service must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Provider charges include at least the announced $1 credit-card convenience minimum when a card is used.

The original will still requires physical lodging. Probate Code section 8200 generally gives the custodian 30 days after learning of death. Deliver it intact to the clerk and reference the electronic case.

Which question goes to the examiner, and which to the clerk?

The examiner says attachments will not be opened and cannot provide legal or procedural advice. Keep the exact note, the document filed to address it, and the acceptance receipt together. Late papers may be reviewed only at the judge’s discretion on the hearing date and may result in a continuance.

Remote appearance, forms, and fees
